Aluminium Stormglaze Operable Louvre
Aluminium Stormglaze operable louvres are an up-market attractive glazed aluminium framed louvre window for use in situations requiring high levels of natural ventilation and architectural finish.
Perimeter frames are manufactured using durable aluminium extrusions that are designed to integrate with other standard commercial suites and provide for fixing options to suit most wall constructions.
Blade frames are also manufactured using aluminium extrusions and glazing options include glass, acrylic or solid infill panels in various materials. Glazing is fully enclosed using Glazing Beads for simple repairs and maintenance.
Blade control linkages are concealed and designed to provide high security and a long operating life. Weather seals are provided to the frame head, blade jambs and overlapping meeting stiles for weather protection. Ventilation areas can be extended using a combination of transoms and mullions.

Aluminium Stormglaze louvres are a high quality architectural product that provides high levels of ventilation when opened and natural light. When combined with roof ventilation or mechanical air conditioning these louvres provide an effective solution for optimal energy and environmental targets.
Its durable construction makes this system suitable for use in all geographic locations including those at altitude and in cyclonic regions. Aluminium Stormglaze louvres are an ideal for use in high quality commercial, institutional and residential building projects including schools, sports stadiums, multi-purpose halls, swimming complexes, shopping centres, office buildings and alike.
Options
- Blade Glazing - Standard glass, performance glass, composite panels, polycarbonate sheeting up to 13 mm thick.
- Operation - Louvres can be designed to operate using manual lever handle, hand operated overlocking handle, manual winder or electric actuator. If electric actuators are utilised the louvres can be operated by push button controls or linked to building management system to include automatic operations via wind / rain / sun sensors or timers.
- Finish - Standard finishes include clear anodised 20um and powdercoat in standard available powdercoat colours. Any finish that is suitable for aluminium can be applied including special anodising finishes, extended warranty powdercoat paint and other specialist finishes.
Size
Widths of up to 2400mm can be accommodated for individual bays. Standard Blade height is between 350mm and 400mm, other blade heights can be produced. Consult AMBP sales staff in relation to sizes.
Performance
This louvre system, It has been designed to comply with AS 1170 part 2, AS2047-1999 and tested to AS4420.0-6-1996 for air and water infiltration.
Aluminium Stormglaze provides 86% free airflow when Blades are fully open.
