Maxiflow Operable Louvre

MAXIFLOW operable louvres are designed for situations requiring economical wall ventilation with high air-flow requirements when open, and weather resistant unobtrusive architectural finishes when closed.

Louvres are manufactured using sheet steel perimeter frames. Blades are constructed from galvabond RHS with a large choice of cladding materials. Blades pivot around a proprietary nylon bush and pivot pin arrangement and are operated via a control arm and link bar system.

Installation is modular and trouble free.

Applications

MAXIFLOW louvres are a functional and cost-effective operable louvre providing high levels of ventilation and natural light (depending on Blade Cladding).

It is equally suited for use in economical factory / warehousing projects and can be upgraded using cladding materials to suit up-market industrial / commercial building looking for a contemporary edge.

Typical uses include factories, warehouses, sports halls, swimming pool complexes and multipurpose halls.

Options

  • Blade Cladding - Typically flat sheet metal but can be clad in virtually any cladding material including perforated sheet, timber, translucent or clear acrylic provides natural light transfer, Refer to our sales staff for options and special applications.
  • Operation - Louvres can be designed to operate using manual levers, manual hand winder or electrical actuators. If electrical actuators are utilized the louvres can be operated by push button controls or linked to a building management system to include automatic operation via wind / rain / sun / time sensors.
  • Finish - Perimeter frames and blade frames are provided in zincanneal and galvabond steel with powder coat finishes as standard, other options can be natural, powdercoated or wet spray finishes depending on base materials.
  • Screens - Bird mesh, fly screens and security mesh can be provided.
  • Security Bars - Can be provided for additional protection against unauthorised entry.
  • Cyclone Shelter Rated Louvres - Maxiflow louvre in sheet metal cladding are approved for use in Cyclone shelter buildings, refer our sales staff for information.

Size

Up to 2400mm wide for individual bays, typical blade heights are 350mm to 450mm, other blades sizes can be manufactured. Consult AMBP sales staff in relation to other sizes.

Performance

Maxiflow operable louvres meet the requirements of AS 2047 and AS1170 for structural performance in cyclone regions.

When fully open the louvre will provide up to 85% free area.
