Fixed Ventilation Louvre - 'AME 100 HV' Framed

Description

The AME 100 HV is a two stage "framed" or modular ventilation louvre for applications requiring high weather resistance. The depth of the louvre is nominally 200 mm and is constructed using extruded aluminium.

The first stage utilises horizontal double rain-trap blades followed by a vertical chevron blade second stage. This combination offers a vastly superior level of protection from water ingress in comparison to single stage ventilation louvres.

The AME 100 HV offers moderate free air flow characteristics, modular construction and superior protection in one panel. The perimeter frames (Head, Sill and Jambs) and Blades are assembled using stainless steel screws. For wide spans concealed aluminium mullions are provided on the inside face of the first stage to support Blades and ensure consistent horizontal architectural lines. Depending on project requirements louvres are provided with standard or custom made trim angles to ensure installation is neat and tidy with weather proof finish.

Louvres can be provided with a variety of mesh options to the inner face for vermin protection and a broad range of metal finishes (refer Options below). The AME 100 HV can also be used in combination with hinged louvre doors to provide access to rooms or equipment where ventilation is required.

Applications

The AME 100 HV is a high quality, robust, durable and functional ventilation louvre to suit air inlet or exhaust requirements for most commercial and industrial building applications requiring superior weather resistance.

The modular construction ensures quality fit and finish and can be adapted to suit most wall constructions. The louvre is best suited to applications requiring a combination of moderate air flow and superior weather keeping properties. Louvre panels can be used in combination with access doors using the same first stage blade materials to provide a consistent architectural appearance.

Specific applications include lift motor rooms, plant rooms, sub-stations and natural wall ventilation.

Options

  • Finishes - Available metal finishes include powder coating, natural anodising in either 20µm and 25µm, special colour anodising and other special paint finishes on application.
  • Mesh - Available mesh materials include fibreglass, galvanised steel and stainless steel options and cover flywire, bird mesh and security applications.

Size

The Louvres can be manufactured to any size to suit the required opening, depending on the size of the opening and project specific wind load requirements vertical structural supports may be required.

They can be manufactured as framed modular units for both stages or the first stage external face with horizontal blades can be manufactured as a continuous louvre with no visible vertical and horizontal mullions and transoms. If manufactured as modular units the maximum practical size per unit per stage is limited to 6m2 for handling and installation. Please consult our AMBP technical staff for your specific project requirements

Standard Door Size is 2100 mm x 920 mm but other sizes can be fabricated to suit project requirements, the doors are manufactured from the 1st stage horizontal blade, 100mm deep.

Performance

AME 100 HV Louvres meet the requirements of AS1170 for structural performance and are suitable for use in Cyclone areas.

Free area is 46%. The AME 100 has been tested for pressure drop performance. Copy of test results is available on request.
